Well when we went to our family reunion I let him run. He had the freedom to go roam all over the place. We were on a farm. He stuck right by me the entire time. I feel like it is something I have done. Since he was little he has gone with me everywhere. Now he LOVES seeing other dogs. LOL It is just people. When he walks and sees someone else coming he turns as if to run. SOMETIMES when people squat down to see him and as long as they don't approach him he will go sniff around. He may relax around them but not to the point of letting them anywhere near him. He will come running over to me and jump up on my leg so that I will pick him up. Like I said at home he loves to play. He and our german shepherd are buds and they love to play with each other. I have noticed one thing... When it is just me at home they don't play as much. When EVERYONE is home they are wide open. I guess they just miss everyone.
I will try and let him walk into more situations. Maybe then he will be more at ease. |
