I bought a cute squeaky ball a few years ago at Petsmart. It had a Christmas theme and was harder rubber. Then there were little Santa's all over the ball that stuck out. Sophie could hold the ball by grabbing hold of the little Santa's in her mouth. Trouble is, she chewed off the Santas quickly. They were rubber, but again harder. So I took it back and said that I felt this was a dangerous toy because small dogs could swallow the little Santa's and have an obstruction. They took it back and gave me my money back, but I doubt that they did anything about the safety issue.
