Alex,
Let me begin with telling you that you have every right to be upset that you were dupped. You've come across a disreputable breeder.
Second let me go on to tell you AKC papers only prove that both your dog's parents were registered, it doesn't prove that that your dog is pure bred (most likely she is). There is no test out to date that proves that there wasn't some hanky panky in the wood pile way back in her pedigree. Anyway not having papers is in your eyes very important. If you don't have a signed contract that the breeder would provide you AKC papers you're pretty much hosed. If you do....don't let the breeder get away with it. If you plan to breed your female, and sell puppies, then you'll probably have to sell them for less. As far as your female being 6-7 pounds.....how wonderful. It's the weight range I prefer my breeding females to be. But, what is more important is they are a great representation of the breed, that I know their pedigree, that they come from a line of free whelpers.
In closing.....good for you, stand by your convictions of breeding pure bred yorkies.....good luck to you.
Mary
