Alex, I am so sorry you have had this happen to you. Yes, I would at least make her think you were going to bring a law suit against her. She might possibly refund some of your money. Law suits are expensive and it might wind up costing you more in the long run. (Just something to consider..)

The standard for Yorkies is 7lb and under but there are many pure bred Yorkies that are over so don't be concerned about what anyone says. Continue to love your baby and have her spayed. Please don't even consider breeding mixes! Do you research and learn all you can and save your money (again) for a registered (papers in hand) Yorkie. Continue here on YT. learning and listening to the respected, reputable breeder/exhibitors. You can learn a lot from them and they are always willing to help. Who knows, you might even want to show later on, but even if you don't, I'm sure from what you have said, you want to be a responsible Yorkie owner and someday, breeder. Good luck to you.
