You know the ironic thing is that my parents have always been so giving and nurturing of others in their hard times. They have devoted their whole lives and taught my sister and I to help others and donate. Right before all of this happened, my sister and her husband donated over 3 million dollars to the local churches and hospitals. Now our whole community has completely turned their back on us. We are like outcasts in our own town. Sometimes we can't even go grocery shopping without being bombarded by reporters. They live in a small town where everyone knows each other. My family was like the example family of the town, now we're just the butt of the jokes. I guess you always know who really loves you when you don't have money. |
