No not he AKC, the parent Club for the YOrkshire Terrier comprised of Yorkie showbreeders that are fanciers of the breed immersed themselves in the breed show their dogs and know what a Yorkie should and shouldn't look like. Colour plays a large part in the breed and ifyou look at the breed standards for other breeds that is also true of some of the other breeds as well where only certain colouring is allowed.
