Looks like a very over sensationalised resource to me.
However it is true that commercial dog foods can do more harm than good. If you have to feed a dog food, choose a good one, scour the ingredients very critically and don't just go with what the vet advises, they are on commision from the food companies and usually don't know alot about nutrition at all.
Personally, my dogs are fed on a raw diet and all of their treats are home made.
