A lot of the information on the Goldenray website are the opinions of the writer. Quotes she's taken from the book, "Genetics of the Dog," were written almost 20 years ago.

The study of Genetics has come a long way in just the last 10 years, and if someone truly wants to learn about current coat color and recessive gene information, I suggest visiting some of the more updated sites, particularly the vet school sites, like UC Davis Veterinary lab. I've contacted vets at this lab and Virginia Tec Vet school (Philip Sponenberg, DVM, PhD, specifically) and everyone has been very kind to answer my genetics questions.

One of the best internet sites is done by Sue Ann Bowling Ph.D.. Here's a link to the site: http://bowlingsite.mcf.com/Genetics/Genetics.html

So thank you for the suggestion of checking out the Goldenray site but I prefer visiting the Vet School sites and the Bowling site for my educational information. :-)
