Next time you put him with mom just to let them bond, I've heard of smearing peanut butter (or something mom may like) on the puppy. That will help them to lick them and "acquaint" themselves with one another.

Thank you, prayers for our little ones would be appreciated. I thot about putting something on him but she seems to be doing ok with the little one we loaned her. I will try switching them back later tonight and see if everything works out properly. Yes, he did nurse on his mama but she was fighting me until the endorphins kicked in or whatever. But if she moved even a little he would lose his grip. Grandma has longer nipples so he can get a better grip on her. The other baby with mama can calm her down and show her how it is done and then when I put him back maybe everything will work. Sylvia
