Yeah I don't understand whats up with the age restriction. I can SEE a weight restriction, but AGE? Who cares if they are 6 months or 5 years? As long as they are under 15lbs and fit in the same carrier? Thats my take on it. I was told by a bunch of people that I wouldnt have a problem taking them both as long as I disclose that I am brining 2 dogs with me and pay the $$. So I booked it. My dogs weighed about 13lbs together, but the other day I weighed them and they are 15lbs together. That is the weight limit including a carrier. I think my dogs are a BIT chubby. I put them on royal canin dog food and free feed them, so I need to stop doing that bc they have both gained OVER a lb in the last month and a half.

Anyways, northwest airlines lets you take 2 dogs in the plane with you if they are under 15lbs .. but it is your only carryon. I just bought a big purse to take bc you can technically have 2 carryons if one is a bag and the other a purse or laptop case or briefcase or something like that.

So I booked my dogs and told the airline they were under 6 months, I need to get a health certificate, but I guess the airline does not care about those, its more the state you are traveling to that does so you get in case. That will have their age on it, but I was told the airline more than likely won't check your bags weight or look at the health certs. As long as you paid the fee. I also bought myself a refundable ticket in case they turn me away I can get the money back for my flight to be cancelled. I am just hoping and praying at this point that everything just goes smoothly. I'll let you know when I get back but Im not going until Dec - Jan. Good Luck!
