that's pretty much what I said. I have always encouraged her to tell me how she feels. she went through a "I hate you" phase and I would tell her "It's ok if you hate me, but I still love you" and that always seemed to work

I would get a "well, i do still love you...but...i'm just not happy".
and it encouraged her to talk to me about how she feels. it just kills me inside every time tho. i try not to let her know that
