You may want to try buying some washable puppy pads so they don't tear them up. Xena has access to the bedroom and tiled hallway while we're at work and the bedroom floor is covered in the washable pads. Luckily when we got her she was used to going on paper and never went on the pads, she just slept on them, but we keep them on the floor just in case. She is litter box trained (we just line the litter box with paper) and she didn't get full reign of the tile until we could trust her with the litter box which took a couple months. We also blocked her from going under the bed, we put suitcases and boxes in the way so she couldn't get under there and our bed is too high for her to jump onto so she's only allowed on the bed when I'm there and let her up there. Maybe try elevating your bed so it's to high for him to jump onto? Just a couple suggestions.
