Different breeders do it different but here is how I do it. I keep my breeding females on puppy kibble at all times anyway. I leave it down so they can get it whenever they want. When I find out they are pregnant or within a week or two after I have bred them, I start adding wet puppy food two times a day. With about a week to go, on one of the wet meals, I add a tablespoon of cottage cheese. After they whelp, they get three extra meals a day plus the whelping pudding. pm me if I can help anytime. |
