You have a smart baby! Congratulations. It will get better. Promise. Potty training problems are more often than not "our" problems.

Mine are paper trained & outdoor trained both. We're still working on Coby. One thing that we do is also put them on a lead outdoors that is hooked right by the door. They're not left outdoors unattended, but after dark in my jammies, if they won't come in, I can "reel them in" with the lead.

There is a formula that tells how long they can hold it by weight or age, but I don't remember it. Maybe someone else will. But Coby was getting to the "hold it all night" stage at about your baby's age, sleeping in a small crate right next to my bed (he did that from the first night). During the day, he holds it for 4 hours (I am lucky to come home for lunch).
