I don't know of anything that will keep them away but, if I were you I would leave them out alone. If a hawk can scoop up a rabbit they certainly could scoop up a 5 lb yorkie or, kill it trying...I had taken the girls for a walk a couple of weeks ago and stopped at a neighbors house. We sat on the lawn for a bit and out of nowhere a HUGE hawk came flying around...much to low for my comfort...My grandfather used to hang those disposal silver pie plates around the gardens to keep the birds away.. But, I'm sure you don't want pie plates hanging all over the place..Good luck and if you find something that works...please share.
