So important ..when dealing with stud services.
One must be sure, it will be the type of terms they are willing to live with.

You may try and ask her if it's OK if you can place the pup and give her the money from the sale.

I ran across a similar situation when I was looking for a stud service.
The terms were she wanted a female as pick of the litter or If no female was born she wanted the full price of a pup.
I asked her what her flat stud fee was and she said it the same as the price of a pup...
I said Thank You ...but No Thank You.
I think paying a reasonable flat stud fee up front is always the best way to go.
