I have two males...first one is 2 1/2 yrs. and the second is 8 months....Different breeders.....I was a little concerned on the dominance issue also but they figured it out real quick...
The older one is smaller but he is boss, the younger one knows his place and they know how to work with it...it's interesting watching their body language and how they just know the pecking order they're in....sometimes it's funny to watch....they have done this without fighting......
