Great thread, Mandee! I am not trying to lose weight so much, but I do want to tone up. I seem to be flabby ever since I had my girls (they are 10 and 7 and I'm still using that as an excuse!

I think having a buddy system (like on here) or a friend that you walk with, etc. helps a huge amount. You can motivate each other and help hold them accountable. I also think it is a big motivation when you see some results, like when your jeans fit better or when the scale moves down a few pounds!
I also think that if you have healthy food around the house it makes a difference. I will always go grab something quick out if I know I don't have anything at home. That's my big problem. I like to eat out and I don't order the healthy foods on the menu when I do.

I think a lot of restaurants have been trying to do better with offering healthy foods. I took my girls to Wendy's last night because my husband was at the Braves game and they have turkey and cheese sandwiches on the kids menu with yogurt as a side as well as milk for a drink. (of course, mine didn't order that, but......) Same on the adult menu with salads as sides instead of fries (I didn't order that either, but......).
