Great thread, Mandee! I am not trying to lose weight so much, but I do want to tone up. I seem to be flabby ever since I had my girls (they are 10 and 7 and I'm still using that as an excuse! )

I think having a buddy system (like on here) or a friend that you walk with, etc. helps a huge amount. You can motivate each other and help hold them accountable. I also think it is a big motivation when you see some results, like when your jeans fit better or when the scale moves down a few pounds!

I also think that if you have healthy food around the house it makes a difference. I will always go grab something quick out if I know I don't have anything at home. That's my big problem. I like to eat out and I don't order the healthy foods on the menu when I do. I think a lot of restaurants have been trying to do better with offering healthy foods. I took my girls to Wendy's last night because my husband was at the Braves game and they have turkey and cheese sandwiches on the kids menu with yogurt as a side as well as milk for a drink. (of course, mine didn't order that, but......) Same on the adult menu with salads as sides instead of fries (I didn't order that either, but......).

Anyway, can't wait to hear everyone's tips! Love the thread!
