We have our 12 week old male in an xpen w/his crate during the day when he can not be watched, and at night. I have papers set up at one end, and his crate at the other. Now, he stands on the crate, and jumps over the pen to get out. I don't like him doing the (for obvious reasons) so I took the crate out. He likes to sleep in it, but can't use it. Any ideas? He will also use the papers to pee sometimes overnight or if left alone, but poo still goes on the floor of the pen, even when the papers are clean. He mainly goes outdoors during the day, it is just the one or two days of the week I have to be away for 2-4hrs that he is in the pen. Should I move to crate training? Does he still need to go out every 2 hours?
