i would think that it would be cage aggression out of fear or protection of self and/or territory. This is not a good behavior. to eliminate it the simple thing would be to get rid of the crate, which may or may not be something you could do. Does she do this behavior with anything else? Is her crate open wire or closed in plastic?
if you can, get an ex-pen that you can reach over to pick her up instead of reaching in. She may be afraid of the crate because she's being backed into it and grabbed at to get her out.
Do you use the crate as a time out place or punishment place? is there anything bad associated with the crate?
Have you tried luring her out with treats?
Does she get a favorite toy or something yummy when she goes in her crate that she is perhaps possessive of?
i'm just trying to think of things that can cause her to bite, be aggressive or be fearful.
