Yes, I agree.... I messed with the schedule, and now I am paying the consequences!

I have tried to ignore him in our room, but the hours of whining and "snarfing" have made for a couple of sleepless nights, not to mention the many times I have taken him outside in the middle of the night, just in case he really did have to go potty and was not trying to weasel his way into our bed!
I would get stairs, but he crawls around while sleeping. He fell off the bed when we were visiting my sister, but luckily it was a super low platform bed, so no harm done.
I would really like to get him to sleep in his own bed without the crate... I have always had big dogs in the past and they just naturally want to sleep next to you in their own bed- any advice for that next step?
