So can someone clearly show me the difference between tan and gold?
Also, I'm pretty sure Lacy is blue - definitely a dark blue. It's not as clear as it is when looking at a show dog because she doesn't have a good silky coat, but when the light shines on it, I can definitely tell it's a dark steel blue. But is she gold or tan? I'm at school right now so I only have my avatar picture for you to go on, but I can post more pics of her when I get home if needed. Her avatar picture makes her look really dark, but she's slightly lighter in person than in that picture.

If you read the blue thread then you know I'll try and answer this one too LOL...in my opinion only hehe...your girl would be a tan based on what I see in the picture a gold to me is a lighter shade than the tan. You will have differences also in the tan on what interpetation one perceives it to be. Say on a black dog sometimes they will have what I call an irish setter red on the head more so than a tan it's darker and brighter. A tan is just that tan and I would consider gold lighter than the tan. My yorkie in my avator I would consider a gold but a light gold with shaded tan mixed in. It's acceptable in the show ring because it's not a DQ. I hope this helps alittle! Again, interpetation plays a big role in all of this.
