Color:
BLUE: is a dark steel-blue not a silver-blue and not mingled with fawn, bronzy or black hairs.
Tan: All tan hair is darker at the roots that in the middle, shading to still lighter tan at the tips. There should be No sooty or black hair intermingled with any of the tan. the new standard plain and simple reads QD'ing faults
Any color or combination of colors other than blue and tan as described above. Any white markings other than a small s**te spot on the forechest that does not exceed 1" at its longest dimension.[/B]
I had posted this published in the AKC Gazett - May edition a while back! http://www.yorkietalk.com/forums/sho...light=standard |
A judge said that to an exhibitor friend of mine this past weekend as well and it was said from the puppy class and what I got out of that will be a lot won't be showing puppies if that's the case either....I believe there needed to be a disqualification in our standard but not sure if the wording of this new DQ will be a good one.
