Your food choice is important. You need something that has a good amount of protein & fiber... Im actually in the process of switching Meka's food (Iams) which I've read on this site isnt very good - so you'll have to research to find what works best for your pup.

Also, as I am learning - potty training is an endless process with Yorkies... So be prepared! Im "pad" training Meka, but I also take her for walks so that she's "cross-trained"... Hope this all helps a lil - and congrats on your new furbaby!
