Still considering myself new to showing and breeding and only showing for 4 years and breeding for 3 there is still so much I need to learn and one thing I have learned is some show breeders get kennel blind and some are just color blind LOL. It's all in interpertation but everyone should know what the difference in black and a dark steel blue but again I call it kennel blindness. A dark steel blue and a nice silk texture if you actually see it and feel it in person you'll never forget it if you stay true to the breed and that is what you strive for. I've seen a dark steel blue and I've felt a nice silk texture and I will not forget it I may not have it in some of my dogs but I will strive for it because that is the right thing to do but structure and movement come first then the correct color and texture. At least I know which one of my show dogs have the correct color and which ones don't!! LOL
