When I was Yorkie sitting for a friend, her Yorkie is elderly and decided to not eat. I couldnt ignore her not eating, since my friend had gone out of town to be with her dying sister, and we didnt know how long she would be away.
I was sure she had stopped eating because she missed her mommy.

I called my Vet for suggestions. He advised me to buy the small jar of baby food beef or chicken, mix one teaspoon of the food with water, to make a gravy, and pour it over her food.

It worked, she immediately started to eat, and at each feeding time I would use less "gravy", until she was eating JUST her food.
