This period between 8 weeks and 12 weeks is very important in his development. He will need alot more than food, water, and a place to sleep, and if you don't give him all the love and gentle guidance he needs you will cheat him and yourself. Lighten up and enjoy this wonderful little fellow, raising a yorkie is sometimes challinging, and always rewarding. |
I'm sorry if I jumped to conclusions. I am very happy for you and your family, a yorkie is a wonderful addition to have. He will take a little time to settle in though. If you give him too much room to roam at first,he will be harder to potty train, he really doesn't need two rooms. A yorkie is a tiny dog, and a puppy needs a little more confinement. I hope you can find someone to check on him sometime during the day at first, it would be nice for him tohave a little distraction too. You can turn on a tv or radio so he will not feel so all alone. Congratulations on your new son!
