Oh, yes, I do know it is contagious..I got it from her the first time..had five annoying marks.Hopefully I am immune to it now. When the infected animal begins its treatment, the medicine is already starting to kill off the infection so it does not spread. I checked when I bathed her, so far, nothing new popped up. Thank you
