Going through the same thing with Sedrick right now. Friday night our friends were puppysitting and decided he liked Bologna and french fries!! Big mistake.
We ended up at his reg vet Saturday afternoon due to vomiting and lethargy and then to the emergency vet Sunday morning at 4 am again because of severe and I mean severe vomiting and dehydration and was given a shot of anti vomiting and liquid antacids. He spent all day Monday hooked up to IV and went home with us last night with his IV intact.
One of the immediate instructions for pancreatitis was to stop all food intake for 24 hours so as to allow pancreas time to "heal"
A good website we found was www.veterinarypetcare.com/dogpancreatitis.html
Last night he was finally able to keep 1 teaspoon of Low residue diet down and now this morning again able to keep food down. Hopefully we are on the road to recovery and a strict diet will now be followed by all of Sedrick's Puppysitters
