Default Please help- strange behaviors since picking up from boarding!

I am hoping that someone out there can give me some guidance!

My husband and I went away this weekend and put our 2 yr. old Yorkie in boarding for two nights. Ever since picking him up, he has been doing things he has never done before, such as peeing/pooping in the house (even after he was brought out for his walk) and excessive whining. When we first brought him home his stools were wet, so we took his food away (what a vet had suggested) until he gets it out of his system. I am assuming that the place gave him wet food after I told them not to.

It has been two days, and we thought things would be back to normal. But, after a half hour walk this morning, he still came back in the house and took a poop on our dining room floor. We don't know if this is something he can't control (his stool is still not back to normal) or if he is being spiteful.

Please share any advice you have!
