Buster is microchipped with Home Again. For those that may be wondering if vets check for chips, YES they do. Whenever we get an animal in be it a cat,dog, ferret, etc that has been found as a stray or even older animals (over 6 mos of age) where the owner says "it was given to them" we scan for a chip. I know the humane league also scans and so do rescues. The rescues even chip the dogs before adopting them out. We have in the last 2 years found owners of lost pets through home again too.
