I know how you feel about wanting to breed Yorkies. The fact that people are willing to pay 1 or 2K for them is absurd. I think that your idea is wonderful!!! You obviously know it is a lot of work no matter what breed you pick. But here in Florida our Yorkies go for anywhere from $350- $850. max! and the people who breed them refuse to sell them for higher-- that is they breed them for the pleasure of companionship, not championship. I think what Ohio needs is someone like you to bring that outrageous price down. The only reason why people get away w/ the higher price is b/c there is no low price, so start one!!! more power to you. Don't let anyone tell you different. I have been looking for a Yorkie and want to rescue one and let me tell you that you can find them cheaper. Go for it!! as a matter of fact, the rescue webites have several in Ohio-- not sure about puppies though. |
