I had requested that day off and i had just taken my nephew and dropped him off at school when i got home my mom had the tv on. And when i saw what had happened i still didnt know they were not sure what had really happened yet.

I just remember telling my mom although i lived in another borough not in Manhattan where it happened i was going to pick my nephew back up from school he was in first grade when i got to his schooll it was like mayhem all mothers and fathers and aunts and uncles picking up their kids, nephews nieces it was pandemoneum. My nephews class was right near the stairs entrance and i was thinking to myself he must be scared wondering why there was so much people screaming in the hallway. I got him and went back home.

My sis was working in the city and she worked on 89th street and she had to walk to 59th street and cross over the queens bridge in order to get to brooklyn and her friend had to pick her up.

Thank goodness i didnt know anyone that past on that day but with all those people that died in there. You would have to be a cold hearted person not to feel sorry and hurt for all those that died or had loved one's that died that day.

Very sad day i must say for weeks after that i was afraid that something else was going to happen.
