I had a couple of people ask how old the new addition to our family will be when she comes home, she will be 8wks. The picture was taken of her at 4wks and a few days. That was from the first time we went to visit. (I will include some more pictures of her/mom/litter)
As September 22nd approaches, I'm becoming more "nervous". I feel like I did as got closer to my due date with my 2 children! I am afraid she'll be a CONSTANT barker.. that she won't adjust to our family.. that she won't be happy.. and I'm afraid of training difficulties.
I had read somewhere (I can't seem to remember where, and I'm sorry) that with her being on the smaller side her eating baby food (Meats/Veggies) would be "Ok" for a little while. Or even mixing some of the baby food in with her food to make it softer. Again, it's much harder to "figure things out" because I've always had labs and their diet consisted of Hamburger and/or Turkey, Rice, 1/4c. Innova, Carrots and sometimes Potato's. Can this be done for such a small dog?
I'd also appreciate advice on Paper Training. I went to Petco to look at Pads. They've got a plastic mat that the pads "anchor" to so that she can't destroy the pad's. Which brands have people found work the best?
Any suggestions to cure the "New Mom" worries???
