You admit yourself it happens. It's wrong, but it happens. Yes, he had every chance in the world to change, but he chose not to...he chose to stick with and continue what he'd been taught was acceptable. Yep, and I TOTALLY agree with you. When a person is given no chance at an education and really is a product of the environment I can give a little understanding....but when your 12 year old son owns things with this mans name on it and he walks up to you as seriously as he can be, and stands before you with a Vick Jersey and a handful of Vick cards and says Mom, can I cut all this stuff up and burn it?? I said sure. Well it layed on the steps for the day as we were busy and then he said hey mom did u know the Humane Society is now accepting Vick clothes to clean out their kennels with?? I said No, I didnt realize that. He asked if we could donate it instead!!! I don't think I have EVER been more proud of my son then I was at that moment. And i really mean that.
As for the 12 year olds out there doing it...Like someone else said I guess take it one kid at a time. And with all this press and see Michael Vick getting thrown in the Clank will save just one child from this horrific practice they have been shown.
