Wysong senior canned might be okay because the main protein source is chicken and it's 22% protein...If you feed this one, you might want to add veggies or pasta or rice to it to dilute the protein amount.
Be careful with canned foods, they SEEM to be lower in protein because they usually state to be under 10%, but in order to calculate the real amount of protein, you have to convert to a dry matter basis.
For example, the Wysong senior canned says 5.5% protein and 75% protein.
You calculate the amount of protein on a dry matter basis by taking 5.5(amt of protein) divided by 25(the reciprocal of the amount of moisture) and you get .22 = 22% protein on a dry matter basis.
Try to stay away form anything with turkey or duck also, as these contain tryptophan which is not recommended for liver compromised dogs.
The Wysong senior dry contains turkey.
