I agree with you 100%, but it's all a matter of where you grew up I think! I would take a tornado over an earthquake ANY day, but I grew up in MO for 23 years, and I've only been in CA for 3 years! Now...I've yet to feel an earthquake (knock on wood), but the idea of one scares me terribly! I think because I'm picturing what happens in the movies...the ground swallowing you whole...which doesn't really happen. But still...I appreciate the warning you get with the tornado sirens, and I'd take that over an earthquake - hands down!
