When I was a kid, I sat outside a lot, since I lived in fairly secluded country. Once I moved to the city in college, it's all that my friends and I would do! Porch sitting is such a wonderful pasttime, no matter where you are! Now I'm just sad because I don't have a porch anymore to sit on, but a balcony of an apartment. It works, I guess, but nothing beats a long porch and a long cool drink. So glad you started this thread, makes me want to reminisce.
