The isoflurane is preferable and very expensive so some vets do not want to use it. And the gas is best because it is suppose to allow them to wake up easier and quicker. I really trust my vet, he is one of the best in the area but I really think that he made a very bad judgement call this time one way or another. Everyone makes mistakes but I'm having trouble just letting this go.
The current consensus between his office, the ER clinic, and another vet that I trust is that she had an allergic reaction. That's fine, so maybe it couldn't have been prevented, I don't know. But she should have never have left his office like that, NEVER! For that, I think I'm justified in saying that someone is to blame in that aspect.
