I know exactly how you feel. I didn't have my Chihuahua spayed till she was 10 years old, and luckly I did because she was on the verge of having some very serious problems that could have killed her. The Vet. said that her uterus actually fell apart in her hand, and if I had waited a little longer before bringing her in, she could have died. I don't mess around anymore with that. As long as they are young and healthy without any medical issues, it may be best to spay them. Just find a really good Vet.
