Maybe these reputable show breeders don't try to produce these off colors, but these genes are in our dogs whether we like it or not. Not every dog in that line will be a producer but 25% or more of the dogs from that direct line are carriers. And the litter that produced a parti, 75% of the pups will have the parti gene (even if they look traditional).
