Seems like they ALWAYS have puppies in stock too. Looks like if everyone became show breeders, the prices would come down. Most show breeders are only interested in placing their pet pups in loving non-breeding homes to be enjoyed. Yes, the show breeders have to make ends meet, but they usually dont rip off the public. There are always exceptions to each, hobby and show breeders.
Reguarding "rare" colors. The only people that call off colored puppies "rare" are the back yard breeders trying to make the big buck. They must not be too "rare" as there are alot on this chat room that have them. Hopefully they bought them on spay/neuter contracts. Yes, they are wonderful, cute, snuggly PETS, and should not be bred. The only reason these colors are not previlent or "rare", is because of the years of hard work and selective breeding by the breeders that founded and wrote the standard for this breed. It takes years to breed out these genetic faults, but someday it will happen. Maybe all the chocolate lovers should start your own breed like the Biewers. After many years of dedication and hard work, the odd colors wont be so "rare" and the prices will go down. And you wont have to worry about if its a mix because the AKC will be right there with a DNA swab. Lynn |
Were you aware that the most prolific line of Parti yorkies, comes from a show breeder's line? A breeder who's been breeding for over 30 years? And you are right, AKC was in there DNA testing 42 litters from these bloodlines.
Some of the full parti yorkies have 4 or 5 generations of dogs who all carry this show breeders prefix.
Again, I'm just trying to open up peoples minds! :-)
