I wasn't talking about puppies either. Adult dogs need to be kept safe as well. Even adult dogs get into things they shouldn't when they're unattended that could put them in danger.
Some people weigh the risks and decide to let their dogs roam free in the house...and others would rather keep them completely free from harm in their crate. Also, crates can be very useful for potty-training.
I personally don't keep Wobie in a crate, only confined to a few rooms, but I understand why the many people who love their babies do crate them.
Do you really think that the people here on YT would crate their yorkies if the yorkies felt they were in prison?
