Melanie-
Now that you say that, I think I do remember hearing something about not vaccinating while nursing. Maybe that is what the vet meant when she said that the pups are not always receptive to the vaccines. I have noticed that my pups will go a couple of days with out nursing and then try to nurse and the mom will let them. I guess it is because they get their immunities from mama- maybe those immunities are what conteract the vaccine. You are right though. I just know I have heard that before. I don't think it hurst anything to vaccinate them- it just might not do any good either. I am just going to keep them on schedule for the vaccines because mama is becoming less and less accepatable of their nursing on her. Thanks for the response.
