I've been told that kennel cough,(which can be contracted in areas other than a kennel) is the equivilant of human broncitis. Fevers, chills, shakes, despression like behavior. If your Yorkie is one that is under four pounds or has a short haircut a spike in weather or weather 65 degrees or under can cause shivers, even just turning on the ac in some dogs who are getting through a cold. If he has a cold, more than likely those are the symtoms that come with it. It sounds like the Vet gave him some medicine and shots to help him out but I've heard that the best cure for a doggy cold after a visit to the vet is to let it run is do course. Kinda like what we do with a human cold. He probably needs the extra sleep and a warm sweater or blanket will probably help the shakes and a good rubbing. Ofcourse this is just an opinion. Hopefully it's just him getting through the cold. Good luck I hope he gets better soon!!!
