That's what my dermatologist told me over 25 years ago and I still use it! It's good stuff. Oh, and you can buy the Wal-Mart version of it for much cheaper and it works just as well.
He also recommended Almay brand cosmetics and not standing under a hot shower. He said that water really dries the skin and exacerbates the condition. He said to take as short of showers as possible and try not to let the water get on the face.
