I would grab him by the muzzle then. You just more want to surprise them and take them out of that element. When Chachi bite he was under a little couch I have and you couldnt really reach him real well. He had a chicken bone and I tried to take it away and he growled and went to bite. My Husband tried to take it away and he tried to bite him.. My Husband lifted up that couch and moved it and then put Chachi on his back. The look on Chachis face told you he knew he did bad. I have never had another problem with it thank god because we have a seven yr old in the house and wouldnt be able to keep a dog that bites. Chachi is a good boy that doesnt like to get into trouble so that why I think that was so effective. It sounds like Teddy has an easy going personality too so you just showing him you are in charge will correct it
