I was always wanting to be "just like a grown-up!" when I was little. When I threw a fit, my mom would bring out a bag of diapers and tell me that only little babies cried over little things, and if I didn't stop crying I would have to wear a diaper like a baby because I definitely wasn't a big girl anymore! I thought she was the meanest mom EVER.... but it always worked because I didn't want my mom to think i was a baby haha
