I say go for it, rescuing is very rewarding but remember that depending on the circumstances you need to be prepared to put alot of work into her. Myself and my family rescued a 2 year old border collie x a few years ago. She had been abused, was very fearful and had had no socialization whatsoever. She did not even know her name. We have had to put years of work into training her and teaching her to trust humans again. She is now 7 years old and is the most loving and caring dog I have ever known.
