At first I trained mine to go on potty pads but it was frustrating because they would miss and walk in it etc. So recently I started training them to go outside and it is going really well, much easier. I think its because they get the message more clearly as when your outside you can wait until they go before you go back in as opposed to being able to walk off the pee pad.
